“Television Screenwriting and Story Development” workshop

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia in partnership with the American Film Showcase program is announcing “Television Screenwriting and Story Development” workshop for television professionals, which will be held in Moldova on June 26-July 2. The language of the workshop is English and Russian. Interested candidates should submit the application packages to the U.S. Embassy by March 27. Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF)

The U.S. State Department’s Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) supports alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs as they create and implement public service projects. Alumni have until March 30 to apply for up to $25,000 to support their efforts in one of five themes: business development, civic participation, education, cooperation in science, and empowerment of women and girls. Armenian alumni have a history of successfully applying for the AEIF; in fact, just this year a group of Armenian alumni created “Unlimited Movement,” a multi-media effort to raise greater awareness about the importance of inclusion for people with disabilities. U.S. Global Sports Mentoring Program

U.S. Embassy Yerevan is pleased to announce the Global Sports Mentoring Program, a short-term exchange program in the United States for women active in sports issues.

Up to 18 international female candidates will be matched with leading female executives from America's top sports organizations for a five-week mentorship (September 24 to October 31, 2017). All eligible candidates must submit a completed application form, a scanned copy of the passport bio data page and a complete CV/Resume to yerevanusinfo@state.gov no later than THU, APRIL 6, 2017. Please mark “2017GSMP” in the subject line of your email.

Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program

The Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program provides international teachers with a unique opportunity to develop greater expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills, and increase their knowledge about the United States. The TEA Program is a six-week non-degree, non-credit customized academic program including seminars on new teaching methodologies, curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional technology. Participants also take part in a practicum in a U.S. secondary school near their host university where they work closely with U.S. teachers and teach, co-teach and present information about their home countries to U.S. students. U.S. Alumni Outreach Grants Program competition

The United States Embassy is pleased to announce the U.S. Alumni Outreach Grants Program competition for fiscal year 2017, aiming to maintain contacts with U.S. Government-funded exchange and training program alumni and to encourage networking among alumni and their colleagues in fields that promote democratic advancement, civic education, academic excellence, association building, youth projects, and economic reform. The Professional Fellows Program provides six-weeks professional fellowship placements in the U.S., matched to your professional goals; professional partnership opportunities after your return; all travel and living arrangements; a stay with a U.S. host family, and follow-on activities for both you and your professional partner after the fellowship ends.

American Film Showcase (AFS)

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia presents American Film Showcase (AFS), which brings award-winning contemporary American documentaries, independent fiction films, and documentary know-how to audiences in Armenia, offering a view of American society and culture as seen by independent filmmakers. AFS films explore diverse topics including civil rights, disabilities, social justice, sports, freedom of the press, technology and the environment. Entrance to screenings is free.
